Technology's Impact on Families

For my family, meaning my older half-siblings and their kids, are mostly scattered all over the country. We have found that social networks like Facebook have allowed us to reconnect and interact with each other. Most of these people I have not seen for nearly 15 years

My in-laws live far across the continent from me as well as a few are over in the U.K., we have found that Skype is really useful for communicating with them. They get to see my little girl over video any time they want, and this is very important to grandma and granddad. Now, if I could only get my own mother a computer and connect her to the internet, she would have the same thrill.

So, to me it is a very positive thing.
