For those out there who are fans of StarShipSofa, you will recognize the name. He's a regular contributor to the show with his Fiction Crawler segment and an occasional narrator. Matthew has been published at Chiaroscuro, GUD Magazine, and Antipodean SF, among others. His flash fiction piece, "The One That Got Away", appeared on StarShipSofa #158. It was on the PodCast that I first heard about Matthew's self-imposed challenge.

But, he's not done there. He also has his own PodCast called "Beware the Hairy Mango". For the most part, this is a silly and fun podcast. The humor will have you rolling with laughter, but the insights can be amazing if you listen carefully. Great show, check it out.

You gotta admire a guy who is willing to try his hand at the craft and have a goal. I think I'll set one myself on my 40th birthday. Head on over the The One-Thousand and check him out!
